GI Pipe
GI Pipe (galvanised iron pipe) is the backbone of every polyhouse and nethouse. It forms the columns, arches, trusses, purlins and bracing that carry the covering, the crop wires and the wind load. The zinc galvanising protects the steel from rust in the humid, irrigated conditions inside a polyhouse, so the frame keeps its strength for years. We supply GI pipe in seven outer diameters from 20 mm to 90 mm, each in 2 mm and 3 mm wall thickness.
Key Features
Hot-dip galvanised coating: a zinc layer that shields the steel from rust and corrosion.
Seven sizes: 20, 33, 42, 48, 60, 76 and 90 mm OD, covering every part of a structure.
Two wall thicknesses: 2 mm for lighter members, 3 mm where extra strength is needed.
Straight, uniform pipe: consistent dimensions for accurate joints and clean assembly.
Benefits of GI Pipe
Long structural life: galvanising greatly slows rust, even with daily irrigation and high humidity.
Strength where it counts: carries covering, crop and wind loads safely.
Low maintenance: no regular painting needed to protect the frame.
Easy to work with: cuts, bends and clamps cleanly during fabrication and repair.
Choosing the Right Size
Different parts of a structure need different pipe sizes. The larger diameters (such as 60, 76 and 90 mm) are generally used for columns and foundations that carry the most load. Mid sizes (such as 42 and 48 mm) suit arches and trusses, and the smaller sizes (such as 20 and 33 mm) are used for purlins, bracing and fittings. Where wind is strong or spans are wide, the 3 mm thickness adds a margin of strength.
Exact pipe sizes should follow the structure's design, span, height and the wind conditions at the site.
Where It Is Used
Polyhouse structures: naturally ventilated, tunnel type and climate-controlled polyhouses.
Shade net houses: columns, frames and anchoring for nethouses.
Greenhouse repairs and extensions: replacing or adding members to existing frames.
Farm structures: sheds, trellises, fencing and support frames.

Why Choose Rudra Enterprises
We are a Greenhouse Erector first, so we use GI pipe in the field every day and know which size belongs where. Choose us for Agriculture Greenhouse work around Pune or anywhere else, and the pipe you order is the same material we build our own structures with.
Pipes are dispatched by road transport across India, and our team checks the sizes against your structure before dispatch, so you get a frame built on the right pipe from the ground up.
